Language-Specific Tunenami
Tunenami Quick Start Guide. Language-Specific Tunenami Because Tunenami appears in both English and Japanese (with additional languages coming)… and machine language translation is pretty lousy, Tunenami is actually created in multiple languages and is kept separate as much as possible where language is an issue. What does this mean to you? Well, if you create your profile in English, some of it won’t be seen in Japanese Tunenami. And vice versa, although things like your sex, age and birth date will be shown in both versions as those are simple to translate. Note: If you want people to read your profile in more than one language, all you have to do is chose another language and post your information in that other language. ![]() But what about your communities and forums? It goes like this. If a Japanese visitor views your blog and all the entries are in English, they will see no entries. However, they can post to your community (if they are a member, of course) blog in Japanese. But English viewers will not see that posting. Note: You can not post to another user’s blog, only comment on it. Or say someone views your profile and you have bilingual friends who post in both Japanese and English. The viewer will only see the titles of blogs by you and your friends and communities that are in the current language that the viewer chose to read Tunenami in. The underlying assumption is that most people want to see things in their own language. However, bi- and multi-lingual people will be able to have profiles in many languages!
