Tunenami strives to be a new kind of music distribution. One that embraces the inevitability of freely distributed content and takes the lead in developing new ways to make money by using technology, rather than fighting change and clinging to outmoded methods.

Record labels used to provide important services by manufacturing, distributing and promoting music and artists. Now anybody can make copies of their music and distribute them worldwide to million for free. The old record label model is no longer necessary and, indeed, deliberately restricts access to music for their own profit.

Tunenami wants to offer the benefits of a label without those problems. Our goal is to help artists receive the recognition and money they deserve by distributing their music without restriction for non-commercial purposes (under the Creative Commons license) with the artists – not record labels or Tunenami – retaining the rights necessary for them to make money on licensing and other secondary uses of their music.
